My Inspiration
This venture was born out of my everlasting love for my late dog Rufus, a stray I rescued after the car in front of me hit him. We formed a life changing bond over our many months of rehab and I learned so much from him over time. I grew to love him deeply and he had a profound effect on my life which continues today. I always wondered about his life before and how he came to be a stray. He was such an incredible dog it was hard to believe that he was homeless. Having said that, there are thousands upon thousands of wonderful homeless dogs and cats.
I used to love holding his paws and it strengthened our bond. I really wanted a personal reminder of him that would be with me always, and withstand the tests of time. That was how the idea of bronzed paw prints was born. True to myself, I bronzed all four of his paw prints and keep one in my handbag at all times. The other three I have on my bedside table, desk and coffee table. His name is on the back of each bronze. I know Rufus will always be with me in spirit and I find great comfort in having his paws close by. Rufus remains my guiding light, my guardian angel looking out for me and I feel truly blessed to have had him be such a huge part of both my life and those of my cats, both of whom formed an extraordinary, tender and loving bond with him. We all miss him terribly and
I know his legacy will live on.
Please help bring the homeless animal population down and adopt whenever you can. The bond with a rescued animal is amazing. They instinctively know what you did for them and are eternally grateful. My motto is “Save a life, adopt a pet” and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing so.
